Apple have recently released an AppleShareIP server and client that transfer
Apple Filing Protocol packets via TCP/IP. The following patch adds
AppleShareIP capability to CAP-AUFS for use with AppleShareIP Client 3.7 or
later.
This patch is an interim release only and assumes CAP at patch level 198.
The same functionality will be available officially in CAP patch 199. You
will, however, need to keep a copy of this patch file in order to reverse
the code changes before patch 199 can be applied without error. The patch
file header contains more information.
This code also provides the ability to filter connections coming in via
TCP/IP using an IP address filter file. The format of this file is identical
to that used for the ARNS remote access package filter. In AUFS filters,
the * (asterisk) and + (plus) characters are treated as being equivalent.

 Warning:
If you downloaded the asip.patch and extnd.patch files prior to
Friday August 7 then use of AppleShare Client 3.8 will cause the
Finder to crash with a divide-by-zero error. The problem is fixed in
AppleShare Client 3.8.1 OR the versions of the CAP patches available
as of now. A diff file for updating your CAP tree from old to new
versions of the interim changes is available from
ftp://munnari.OZ.AU/mac/unsupported/cap.old/diffs4allocb
Please email problem reports to djh@munnari.OZ.AU.
